Tiny Chiclet gum traces its origins to Chiclets, the candy-coated gum introduced by the American Chicle Company in the early 1900s. The gum was inspired by chicle, the natural sap from sapodilla trees, which was the original base for chewing gum. Chiclets became famous for their bright colors, crunchy sugar shell, and fruity flavors, making them a fun and playful treat.
Over time, miniature versions of Chiclets, often called Tiny Chiclets or Mini Chiclets, were introduced, offering the same great taste in smaller, bite-sized pieces. These tiny gums became especially popular in vending machines and candy assortments, adding a fun, shareable twist to the classic gum. While traditional Chiclets have become rarer, their legacy lives on with Gerrit's MiniMIni™ Chicle Gum!
